Let’s call a spade a spade. Skiing and snowboarding can get expensive. Often the parks and the slopes are far away, the lift tickets cost a chunk, and the planks, boards, and boots can really take a bite out of ya. So, when it comes to protective gear and clothing, it’s nice to know there’re some quality options at prices that won’t require you to work off your apres-ski bar bill by washing beer glasses deep into the morning.
The Demon Shield Protective Vest is one of these nicely priced pieces of ski and snowboard body armor. Not quite cheap, it’s still less than 80 bucks out the door and for that, you get full frontal chest protection, padding on the sides and shoulders, and most important, an overlapping armadillo-style hard-shell spine guard that runs from the base of your neck down to the top of your tailbone.
And for those who want even more mobility, this very same armadillo-style spine guard is also incorporated in the Demon Shield Spine Guard, which at less than 60 bucks is almost like stealing it.
Both the Demon Shield Vest and the Demon Shield Spine Guard are lightweight, both are easy to slip on and off, and once out in the terrain park or on the slopes, both will feel like just another piece of clothing under your jacket. No muss, no fuss, just excellent protective gear at a quality price, just like all the other Demon ski and snowboard protective gear.
