Skateboarding Brings Family Together

Families that skate together stay together: check out this heart-warming piece of skateboarding news.

This is a great skateboarding family story! The overview is this: initially, a father and son team began skateboarding, spending quality time together – but the mother felt left out as she stayed home; in the time that the males were out skateboarding, she even had time to remodel the bathroom.

She became lonely and she even briefly separated from her husband. What brought them back together, though, was when she also began skateboarding. That caused the entire family to become closer, and they began to act as a team so that they could quickly finish their chores – and then go out skateboarding together.

I was happy to see that the 12 year old in the video always wore his skateboard helmet – and so did his mother.

I wish, though, that the father had also worn a skateboard helmet. His son clearly admires him and it would be great if the father set an example by wearing the most important piece of skateboard protective gear – the helmet.

To quote the Raising Children Network: “Grown-ups should also wear helmets to set the right example and protect their own heads.”

Are you ready to buy skateboard protective gear for your family?

When choosing a skateboard helmet for each skater in your family, remember that there are two main choices:

You know your own family best, so select the option that makes sense for each one of you.
