How much would you pay for a skateboard? According to skateboarding news sources, one skateboard may go for $30,000-$50,000 on e-Bay.
Yes. You read that correctly: between $30,000 and $50,000. This skateboard was used in a movie, “Back to the Future” and some experts believe this movie was what revived the sport of skate in the 1980s. So, yes. It’s a great skateboard – and even an “important skateboard” if indeed it sparked the skate revival . . . but $30,000 to $50,000?
I would recommend spending your money on name brand skateboard protective gear.
For nowhere near $30,000, you can have skateboard protective gear that will help keep you protected while you ride, vert, street, park, big air, or in whatever new twist on the sport you can create. For one of the biggest bangs for your buck, consider the ProTec combo skate pads set. You’ll get:
- ProTec street skateboard knee pads: these skateboard knee pads have a solid neoprene backing material plus two sturdy Velcro straps
- ProTec street elbow skate pads: these elbow skate pads also have solid neoprene back and sturdy straps
- ProTec skate wrist guards: these skate wrist guards have a metal splint and three Velcro straps
