I want to commend a blog post that summarized what BMX news attendees may have missed at the 2008 AST Dew Tour stop in Cleveland.
At the Dew Tour, there is so much action going on that it’s impossible to see and hear everything. That’s why it’s great that LAT34 is posting the BMX news that was easy to miss at the Dew Tour.LAT34 also provided a trail so that we could find out more about FMX rider Greg Hartman’s injuries after a big fall at the Cleveland competition. The link led to a report by Hartman’s wife, Carly, who said in part that “Greg seems to be improving slowly but surely. I see there are many mixed stories, but the injuries are a brain hemorrhage and a collapsed lung. He had emergency surgery to place a chest tube, and thankfully the doctors want to just wait out the head injury for now since he’s so responsive.” We at XSportsProtective are hoping for a full recovery.
Here are more BMX news updates from LAT34 about the Cleveland Tour.
“Last year, five out of the six winners at the Right Guard Open also won at the Panasonic Open, and all five went on to win the Dew Cup (the sixth Dew Cup champ, Jamie Bestwick, didn’t win in Cleveland or Orlando). This year, only two winners repeated: Daniel Dhers and Jamie Bestwick. With new winners in BMX Dirt, Skate Park and Skate Vert that means those races are pretty much wide open.”
